Scripture:
John 16:33
“I have told you
these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have
trouble. But take heart! I have defeated the world.”
Reflection:
Jesus didn’t promise a trouble-free life. Instead, He acknowledged the reality of hardship—and then gave us the most powerful reason not to fear: He has overcome it all.
The world may threaten us with chaos, loss, and despair, but Jesus stands as the victory that cannot be undone. Peace isn’t found in the absence of trials, but in His unshakable presence within them.
To “take heart” is more than encouragement—it’s a spiritual command to anchor
ourselves in divine courage. We can walk into uncertain days with confidence,
knowing the outcome is already secured. Christ’s triumph is not distant—it’s
our inheritance, here and now.
Prayer:
Conquering
Savior,
Thank You for being my peace in the midst of trouble. When fear rises, remind
me that You have already won. Help me to walk with boldness and assurance,
knowing that nothing I face is stronger than Your love and victory. Teach me to
take heart, daily, and rest in Your overcoming power, today, tomorrow and
forevermore Amen.
