"I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse!
He who sat on it is called Faithful and True,
and in righteousness He judges and wages war." — Revelation 19:11
Reflection
Advent is a season of expectation, not only of Christ’s coming at Bethlehem but of His reign revealed in glory. St. John, exiled on Patmos, was given a vision of Jesus—not as a distant figure in prophecy, but as the victorious Lord who reigns even now.
The open heaven reminds us that God is accessible. Through Christ, we are invited to lift our eyes above hardship and persecution to see His triumph. The white horse and garments of victory declare that Jesus is the true King, leading His people in righteousness today—not just in the future.
When we worship, our perspective shifts. Like the multitude crying “Hallelujah!” in Revelation 19, we see Christ’s victory more clearly. His throne is not only a place of grace but of power, assuring us that He is both willing and able to deliver His people.
Closing Thought
Heaven is open. Christ reigns now and forever. Let us boldly enter His victory.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, open our eyes to see You as the Victorious King. Lift our hearts above trials and fears, and let us walk in the confidence of Your triumph. May our worship reveal Your glory and strengthen us to live in Your victory today, tomorrow and forevermore Amen.
