The Season of Advent:

The Season of  Advent:

Advent means “Coming.” It reminds us that hope is not bound by time—it stretches from the future into the present and even into the past. In life’s difficulties, hope remains, affirmed by the ancient creeds of our faith.

First Sunday of Advent – We look ahead to Christ’s return, when He will reign in glory as King of Kings.

Second Sunday of Advent – We welcome His daily coming through Scripture, prayer, and the gospel, where He clothes Himself for us in grace.

Third Sunday of Advent – We echo John the Baptist, pointing to Christ as the hope of Israel, trusting God’s faithfulness even in uncertainty.

Fourth Sunday of Advent – We turn to Bethlehem, where God chose humility to reveal His glory, reminding us that hope often begins in the simplest places.

Advent is the season of hope fulfilled—Christ has come, Christ comes to us now, and Christ will come again.

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, in this Advent season, teach us to wait with hope, to live with faith, and to rejoice in Your coming—past, present, and future. Amen.
