Praying for Revival

Scripture

“Will You not revive us again, that Your people may rejoice in You?” — Psalm 85:6

The world around us feels heavy in these days. We see strife, the erosion of freedoms, lawlessness, corruption in high places, global unrest, and the threat of war. Many sense that something unusual is unfolding — believers and unbelievers alike. Some point to biblical prophecy; others speak of a shift in human consciousness. But beneath all the noise, God is still at work.

As followers of Jesus, we do not look at the world through the lens of fear. We look through the lens of hope — because the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are not distant from the story of humanity. They are present, active, and moving history toward the purposes of God.

A Holy Expectation

In prayer, I find myself convinced — perhaps more than ever — that what we are witnessing is not the prelude to destruction, but the prelude to revival. A great awakening. A turning of hearts toward Jesus unlike anything seen for centuries.

I believe the Church will be stirred again by the Spirit of God. Struggling congregations will find renewed life. New churches will spring up in unexpected places. Evangelism will become bold and joyful. Missionary work will flourish. And the Gospel — the good news of Jesus — will run swiftly across the earth.

The powers of darkness may resist, but their efforts are futile. Trying to stop the work of God is like trying to hold back the ocean with a broom.

A Personal Revelation of Christ

This revival will not be merely intellectual, nor will it be driven by emotional spectacle. It will be deeply personal. Many will come to see Jesus as the One who has already joined Himself to humanity through the incarnation — the One who has done more for us than we ever imagined.

People will awaken to the truth that they are loved, wanted, and included in God’s redeeming purpose. They will be set free from sin, fear, and death. They will discover who they were always meant to be in Christ.

And I believe the gifts of the Holy Spirit will manifest with a clarity and authenticity reminiscent of the earliest days of the Church. Not staged performances, but genuine works of God — healings, restorations, and miracles that point unmistakably to the living Christ.

Our Call: Pray for Revival

As we look at the uncertain days before us, we do not despair. We pray. We watch. We hope. And we ask God to do what only He can do.

Revival is not something we manufacture. It is something we receive.

So let us pray — in our homes, in our churches, in our quiet moments — that God would breathe fresh life into His people and draw many hearts to Jesus.

Prayer

Holy Father, revive Your Church. Lord Jesus, reveal Yourself to the world. Holy Spirit, awaken hearts, renew faith, and pour out Your gifts once again. Do in our day what only You can do — for Your glory, today, tomorrow, and forevermore. Amen.
