Scripture:
“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord
rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth… but the Lord rises upon you.”
— Isaiah 60:1–2
We live in a world that feels unsettled. Strife, confusion, fear, and
uncertainty seem to swirl around us. Many look at these events and see only
decline. Others try to explain them through philosophies or spiritual trends
that promise a new kind of “awakening.”
But the people of God are invited to see something deeper.
When the world shakes, God is not absent. He is at work.
I believe — and many believers sense it too — that the turmoil of our age
is not the prelude to despair, but the prelude to revival. The powers of
darkness may resist, but they cannot stop the purposes of God. Trying to halt
His work is like trying to hold back the ocean with a broom.
God is preparing hearts. God is stirring His Church. God is drawing
people to Jesus in ways we have not seen for generations.
In the days ahead, many will come to see the beauty of the Father, Son,
and Holy Spirit — the God who has already acted for our salvation and revealed
Himself fully in Jesus Christ. Revival is not something we manufacture; it is
something God gives. And He delights to give it.
Reflection: Where do you see signs of God stirring your heart? Where might He be
awakening hope where fear once lived?
Prayer: Lord Jesus, in a world filled with noise and confusion, open our eyes to
Your work. Let Your light rise upon Your people. Prepare us for the revival You
desire to bring — a revival of truth, love, and a renewed vision of who You
are. Make us ready vessels for Your Spirit. Amen.
