The Shepherd of Hermas AD 90–140

The God Who Restores

The Shepherd of Hermas is a pastoral, allegorical work emphasizing repentance and renewal. It speaks tenderly of God’s mercy and reminds believers that repentance is always possible and renewal always offered.

God does not abandon His people. He calls them back. He restores what is broken. He strengthens what is weak. No failure is final. No wound is beyond His reach. No heart is too far gone for His restoring love.

Hermas invites us to trust the God who never gives up on His children.

Prayer

Merciful Lord, renew our hearts. Restore what is broken and lead us into the fullness of Your grace, today, tomorrow and forevermore. Amen.
